Figueres

I'm not going to pretend this is anything less than a last minute post to try to preserve the whole "monthly"part of the adventure of the month, but desperate times, desperate measures, folks. I am posting some photos that I had never intended to post . These photos are of my visit to the oh-so-cool Salvador Dali museum in his hometown of Figueres, Spain, and are not so great. The problem has nothing to do with the displays, which are designed by the artist himself, in such a way that you can practically experience the mind of a genius yet keep a comfortable distance, or even less with the building, an old theater, re-purposed with an eye towards immortality. It has more to do with the tourists who are incapable of appreciating a work of art without feeling it necessary to place their overextended asses in front of said piece of art.
